We appreciate initial emails that include at least some details, especially if you are looking for a Fjord to purchase.  The ones that say "looking for a fjord call me xxx-xxx-xxxx" just don't give us much confidence that the person on the other end has the bandwidth for a new horse!

If you will be visiting, please read the guidelines found here.

Notable nearby equine attractions:

• Oregon Horse Center

• Elijah Bristow State Park trails

• Buford Park / Mount Pisgah trails (fee site)

... several other horse-friendly trailheads within a short drive, too!

Be aware that all trails near us (other than those linked above) are not suitable for winter equine use, nor are they primarily for equestrians.  USFS and BLM trails in our area are heavily frequented by avid mountain bikers, some of whom are not well-versed in mixed-use trail etiquette.

A valid NW Forest Pass is required to park at most trailheads in our area.  Day-use permits must be purchased in advance for a minority of trailheads into the Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Washington, and Three Sisters Wilderness areas.  Check here for current regulations.

NW Horse Trails is a great resource for equestrian trails in Oregon, both with and without campsites.
